After graduating from college he worked as an entry level Psychologist at the New York State Psychiatric Institute through Columbia University and shortly there after went to graduate school at Barry University, in Miami, FL, where he earned a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences.

He stayed on at Barry University to complete a dual degree with a Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine and a Master’s in Business Administration. After Med School he remained in Miami another 3 years to complete his residency training in Foot and Ankle surgery at Mercy Hospital in Coral Gables.

Dr. Sotelo is fluent in Spanish and proficient in French. A self proclaimed ‘Foodie’, he is also a big movie enthusiast and college football fan faithfully following his Boilermakers each season. Most of all however, he enjoys spending time and traveling abroad with his family in particular Seville, Spain, where he met his wife while studying abroad in college.
