North Carolina Gynecology

Gynecological surgery is surgery performed on the female reproductive system. Gynecologists specialize in women’s health and perform procedures that involve the uterus, ovaries, cervix, or fallopian tubes—or sometimes the urinary bladder. Although they may often be paired together, gynecology is very different from obstetrics. Gynecologic doctors handle health care only on the female reproductive system and do not deliver babies like obstetricians do. A doctor can be certified as an OB as well as a GYN, or just one of the two.

At North Carolina Specialty Hospital (NCSH), our gynecologists provide patient-centered care to ensure that you feel completely comfortable during your visit or gynecologic surgery. We provide an array of procedures to help a variety of patient needs.
