Deren Bagsby, MD

Dr. Deren Bagsby specializes in Advanced Joint Replacement for EmergeOrtho—Triangle Region. Prior to joining the Triangle Joint Replacement Team, Dr. Bagsby completed an impressive 400-plus primary total hip replacements through the revolutionary, muscle sparing direct anterior approach (during his Fellowship). This approach utilizes an incision on the front of the hip that allows the joint to be replaced by moving muscles aside along their natural tissue planes, without detaching any tendons. Direct anterior approach also reduces recovery time, improves functional outcomes, and enhances patient satisfaction.

His extensive experience in direct anterior hip approach and innovative, minimally-invasive knee revision and replacement surgeries, make Dr. Bagsby an asset to the EmergeOrtho—Triangle Region Joint Replacement Team.
