Dr. Millicent Brown

Dr. Millicent Brown is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine.

Education and Training

Dr. Brown is originally from Long Island, NY. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Howard University in Washington, DC. She earned a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Brown completed a three year podiatric surgical residency at Providence Hospital and Medical Centers in Southfield and Novi, MI. Her training included reconstruction of advanced foot and ankle deformities related to trauma, systemic disease and genetic abnormalities. She became certified by Healogics Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society in hyperbaric medicine and problem wound management.

Memberships/Affiliations

Dr. Brown is certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. She is a member of the North Carolina Foot and Ankle Society and American Podiatric Medical Association.

Personal

Dr. Brown seeks to empower her patients by providing them with knowledge concerning foot and ankle conditions. She enjoys educating patients in-office and at wellness centered community events. As an enthusiastic speaker, Dr. Brown presents at health fairs, diabetic support groups, schools, nursing homes, and senior citizen groups. Dr. Brown resides in Durham, NC with her husband. For fun, she enjoys walking trails, botanical gardens, road biking, exploring different cultural cuisines, live music venues, and art festivals.
