Dr. Sacco

Dr. Sacco graduated from the University Of Connecticut School Of Dental Medicine and UNC School of Medicine. Following completion of an internship in general surgery and residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, she was a full time faculty member at UNC. While at UNC, Dr. Sacco was involved in research studies involving implants and growth factors for bone graft reconstruction.

Dr. Sacco has enjoyed publishing journal articles and several book chapters. Currently, Dr. Sacco continues her interest in bone grafting, implant therapy, and orthognathic surgery. Her goal is to provide patients with information so they can make an informed decision to achieve functional and esthetic results with the current treatment options available.

Dr. Sacco maintains board certification and has also served as an examiner for the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. She has lectured at UNC, nationally and internationally on implants and medical issues of concern to dental professionals. Dr. Sacco has served the specialty on numerous committees for the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (AAOMS). Currently she is one of the state’s delegates for AAOMS and has been appointed to the Committee on Practice Management where she teaches oral surgical staff across the country. She enjoys taking care of all ages of patients. Dr. Sacco currently sees patients at all three office locations and is on the hospital staff at NC Specialty Hospital, Duke Regional Hospital, and Davis Ambulatory Surgery Center.
