Dr. Susan Weeks

In practice since 1998, Dr. Susan Weeks serves as Medical Director for the North Carolina Specialty Hospital Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Center in Durham, providing comprehensive, personalized care for patients suffering from non-healing wounds. In addition to wound care, Dr. Weeks has clinical interests in the treatment of venous disease.

Educational Background and Experience

Dr. Weeks graduated from Duke University. Following, she obtained her medical degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. At UNC, Dr. Weeks completed a radiology residency and fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology (VIR). She then became part of the UNC staff for an additional seven years where she was named section chief of VIR.

After her time working at UNC, Dr. Weeks joined Wake Radiology in 2006 where she remained for seven years. During her service with Wake Radiology, Dr. Weeks specialized in the outpatient treatment of venous disease.

Today, Dr. Weeks’ medical focus continues to center on wound care and venous therapy. She routinely provides precision diagnosis and treatment, helping encourage a safe and patient-centered healing process for her patients.
