Dr. Anna DeSaix

Dr. Anna DeSaix is a board-certified podiatric surgeon for the EmergeOrtho- Triangle Region Foot and Ankle team. Prior to joining EmergeOrtho, Dr. DeSaix practiced in St. Louis, MO. She returned to Chapel Hill recently to be close to her family. She is excited to be back home and is looking forward to helping improve the quality of life of patients in her hometown community.

Education and Expertise

Dr. DeSaix obtained her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She then went on to graduate from Rosalind Franklin University, Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. She completed her residency in Podiatric Surgery at DePaul Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. DeSaix worked in multi-physician groups and also had her own successful private practice in St. Louis.

Specialties

Dr. DeSaix enjoys working with both foot and ankle conditions and injuries. She treats conditions including, but not limited to, plantar fasciitis, tendinitis, foot fractures, bunions, hammertoes, ingrown toenails, warts, athletes foot. Whenever possible, Dr. DeSaix treats the patients injuries and conditions utilizing conservative treatment methods. If a diagnosis is severe or does not respond well to non-surgical approaches, Dr. DeSaix will then utilizing surgical treatment options.
