The care of each of our patients is a complex process that involves various specialists all collaborating with the common goal of safe surgery. It begins with pre-anesthesia evaluation.

Together with the Anesthesia team, the global health of each patient is assessed, and the patient is evaluated to minimize preventable complications from surgery. This gives the patient their best opportunity for a successful outcome.

Following surgery, during the early recovery, the collaboration continues with a focus on each patient being safely transitioned back home or to the next best place for ongoing, maximum recovery. Guiding this care is the Hospitalist, a Medical Doctor whose focus is the highest quality care of all patients at NCSH.
