Dr. Joseph E. Massaglia, Jr.

Dr. Joseph Massaglia is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in foot and ankle conditions. He focuses on improving patients’ quality of life through individualized treatment plans, using both non-surgical options and, when necessary, minimally invasive, open, or arthroscopic surgery. Dr. Massaglia also performs total ankle replacements for severe ankle arthritis.

He completed his medical degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by an orthopedic residency at Jefferson Health New Jersey, and a foot and ankle fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center. Dr. Massaglia is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS).

Dr. Massaglia is excited to begin his practice in North Carolina alongside his wife and daughters.
