Dr. Robert J. Baranello
Dr. Robert J. Baranello is a board-certified anesthesiologist and fellowship-trained interventional pain management physician at EmergeOrtho. He focuses on helping patients restore function and improve quality of life through precise pain treatments. Dr. Baranello has published peer-reviewed journal articles and presented at conferences on anesthesiology, pain medicine, and neuromodulation.
Dr. Baranello studied biology and chemistry at the College of Charleston, then earned a master’s degree in neuroscience research at the Medical University of South Carolina. He received his medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville and completed anesthesiology training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he was named “Resident Teacher of the Year.” He further specialized in interventional pain medicine during a fellowship at the University of Tennessee Medical Center, focusing on neuromodulation and spinal cord stimulation. He is a member of several professional societies, including the American Society of Anesthesiologists.
