A board-certified orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Kevin Krasinski brings a host of talents, skills, and research experience to the EmergeOrtho—Triangle Region. Dr. Krasinski is also fellowship-trained in Sports Medicine, with clinical specialties in injuries of the Shoulder and Knee. He enjoys treating athletes of all ages to help them return safely to sports. He is also currently the orthopedic surgery consultant for the Burlington Royals, a minor league affiliate of the Kansas City Royals in Burlington, NC.
Dr. Krasinski received his undergraduate degree from Colgate University, where he majored in biology and was a member of the Tri-Beta National Biological Honor Society. He received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, where he graduated as a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He was also honored with the Charles and Jane Brusch Prize, awarded to the graduating Tufts medical student who “demonstrated achievement in the art and skill of the patient/doctor relationship and a high degree of understanding, integrity, and maturity of character in the care of the patient.”
Following graduation from medical school, Dr. Krasinski completed a general surgery internship and a residency in orthopedic surgery at Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston. He was then selected to attend the distinguished Duke Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery Fellowship Program at Duke University Medical Center where he received specialized training in orthopedic sports medicine.
Dr. Krasinski has served as a team physician for Boston College athletics and was an assistant team physician for both Duke University and North Carolina Central University. As a member of the sports medicine teams at these Division I schools, he provided orthopedic care to their varsity athletes, including sideline coverage for these nationally recognized basketball, football and hockey programs.

Dr. Krasinski currently lectures at the Elon University Physician Assistant Program, where he also helps to instruct the students on orthopedic anatomy and serves as a clinical preceptor. He was invited to be the keynote speaker at the White Coat Ceremony for the Elon PA class of 2016. Dr. Krasinski has also published orthopedic articles in peer-reviewed journals and co-authored book chapters on sports medicine topics.
Dr. Krasinski is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery. He is a member of the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), Duke Piedmont Orthopedic Society, and the North Carolina Medical Society.
