Randi Shults

Randi has earned an undergraduate degree in Nursing from LaSalle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and a Masters degree in Health Service Administration from the University of St. Francis, Joliet, Illinois.

Randi has 11 years of Operating Room experience and 25 years experience in the management of surgical care delivery and overall hospital administration. She has worked in both the non profit and for profit arenas, as well as acute care hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers. Randi is also the VP of Operations for Surgery Partners.

In 2004 Randi was relocated by Surgery Partners to oversee the construction and development of North Carolina Specialty’s new replacement hospital located in Durham, North Carolina. Since that time she has held the position of Chief Executive Officer with North Carolina Specialty Hospital. Her responsibilities include but are not limited to the overall performance of care delivery, quality, satisfaction, and fiscal well being of the hospital. Under her leadership the Hospital has been rated one of the best hospital in the country for patient satisfaction and quality. Randi currently serves on the Execute Board for Project Access of Durham County, a charitable organization focused on the delivery of specialty care to the uninsured.
